Gross Domestic Product by Region shows how economic activity has evolved in each region of the country. In this document, the Central Bank of Chile presents the methodology and results of the series of the Gross Domestic Product by Region for the years 1996-2004. This series is based on the input-output tables for 1996, which is the base year of the Chilean National Accounts System. Calculations used available regional information with analyses and conciliations at the regional and national level to ensure their consistency with Annual National Accounts.
